Bison, Bison bison
Generally quiet and sociable animals, bison spend large parts of their day grazing on grasses and other vegetation.. Though they appear tame and harmless, such is definitely not the case: each year in parks such as Yellowstone National Park, significantly more people are injured by bison than their more feared neighbor the bear. Bison are surprisingly quick, able to move their 1500 lb bodies at speeds upwards of 40 miles per hour.
