Released 2009-10-03 Black Bear, Ursus americanus Fallen trees and rotting logs are a verittable smorgasborg for black bears. The weakened wood is no match for the bear's powerful forelimbs and short claws, which the bear uses to tear chunks off of the logs, uncovering the worms, grubs, and other tasty morsels hidden within.
