Released 2010-11-01 Moody weather seems to be the norm in the Arctic. The sun was trying hard to break through a thick blanket of clouds on a cool morning, when enough radiance finally managed to penetrate to light up the lower portion of a cliff face on Devon Island. Thousands upon thousands of birds, many of them kittiwake gulls, could be seen perching in every conceivable nook and cranny, as well as flying to and from the cliff. Every dark speck in the air is a bird -- and the longer you look, the more of them you see.
