Loxodonta africana and Equus burchelli
One of the things that is most spectacular about Africa is the plethora of so many different species of animals mingling together, peacefully sharing the same spaces. The grazers in particular are frequently seen in close quarters, as they have little to fear from each other, and often bring complimentary talents to the group. Usually they are also not in competition for the same resources, as they prefer differing menus. In this case, the elephant prefers munching on the acacia trees while the zebras clip off the grasses below.
Together, they provide a striking illustration of the idea that nothing in nature lives in isolation.
"Nature is art brought to life: often beautiful and inspiring, always fragile and in need of loving care" -- Jodi Gaylord
