Released 2012-06-16 Japanese Garden, Seattle I caught this Japanese garden as an Indian summer at last melted into fall. The contrast of the deep greens with the fireworks of the reds, oranges, and yellows, all tied together by the gray of the stones, made me happy to be alive, in that place, and at that moment. Japanese gardens are designed to promote a sense of peace and calm introspection. The peace I felt here was deep, but the calmness was regularly interrupted by energetic bouts of pure joy.
