Released 2011-10-30 Black Bear Cub, Ursus americanus Bears are land sharks as far as food goes -- they will try to eat practically anything. This is especially true for bears such as this yearling black bear that have easy access to garbage dumps. In a dump, all kinds of shiny, metallic things have tasty treats hidden inside -- just consider all of the food tidbits that can be found on discarded aluminum foil. After licking and chewing on this metal box for awhile, the cub finally gave up and decided it wasn't edible. It then ambled off to eat a dandelion.
This is a limited edition photograph with a total of 500 photos printed across all sizes, as noted
