Waterfalls are the ultimate in natural contradictions. They are peaceful, soothing, relaxing. Yet they are also extremely powerful and energetic, constantly carving through rock itself, changing the very nature of their surroundings simply by their existence. I find them most beautiful under slightly subdued lighting, when the colors of the rocks and flora surrounding them are most visible.
