St. Mary Lake
When people think of fantastic sunsets, what often comes to mind are bright, almost primary-colored clouds blanketing the sky with eye-popping hues. Not all great sunsets employ such obvious self-promotion, however. Some of the best are much more subtle, and are easily missed if you are not paying attention. Such was the case with this ephemeral view of St. Mary Lake in Glacier National Park, showcasing tiny Wild Goose Island in silhouette.
"Nature is art brought to life: often beautiful and inspiring, always fragile and in need of loving care" -- Jodi Gaylord
