Released 2010-11-01 Glacial silt gives Tokumm Creek in Kootenay National Park, Canada, its chalky green color. Do not be fooled by the placidness of this lovely little creek, however; it is responsible for carving out the narrow but deep Marble Canyon. Over the millennia, this charming, relaxing creek has caused the location of Marble Canyon Falls to recede nearly a kilometer, illustrating in its quiet way the power of gentleness -- and persistence.
