Released 2009-06-01 Panthera pardus Looking for all the world like a common housecat in its bathing rituals, this leopard ensures that its coat is sleek and clean. The spots on leopards' coats are a form of camoflauge meant to resemble the pattern created by sunlight filtering through leaves on a tree. This particular cat is more visible than it normally would be because of a trick of the light: the sun is still shining through patchy clouds, highlighting the cat, but a dense layer of storm clouds is coming up behind the leopard, putting it into sharper relief.
