Released 2011-10-30 Canary Springs, part of the Mammoth Hot Springs complex in Yellowstone National Park, is accessible by an easy stroll on a wooden boardwalk. Unlike many of the other pools and hot springs in the area, it does not sport brilliant coloration most of the time, though it does turn a bright yellow in a certain light. Instead, the true beauty of Canary Springs lies in the terraces, pools, and billowing curtains of steam that arise from it -- and the deep sense of tranquility that they can engender. In the quiet of winter, when hot steam meets frigid air, the Springs creates its own snowfalls, which a visitor may often enjoy in solitude. With the bustling crowds of summer long gone, the otherwordly atmosphere becomes completely mesmerizing.
